An elderly woman is the country’s latest homicide.

Sixty-two-year-old Carol Scott of Rockhall Castries is dead, following a shooting in her area.

According to police reports, she was shot while at home about 9:00pm, on Tuesday 11th May, 2010.

According to information, Scott was at home when a group of masked men knocked at her door and fired several shots which hit her in the head.

Her common-law husband, Matthew Henry, 55, was also shot in the back.

Carol Scott was pronounced dead at the Victoria Hospital while Henry is currently admitted at the aforesaid hospital.

Another shooting occurred about 9:15pm, on Monday the 11th May, 2010, at Maynard-Hill, Castries, where a group of masked men fired several shots at some men who were involved in a game of dominoes, hitting 28-year-old, Ali James of Maynard-Hill, in the head and 31-year-old Kurt Cherubin of the same community, who was shot in the back. They were admitted to the Victoria Hospital.
